Minutes

Meeting held on 5th September 2012 at the Halford Bridge Inn at 7.30 p.m.

1. Apologies

2. Declaration of Interests Councillors are asked to declare personal interests in any items on the agenda. Councillors are reminded that the code of conduct that took effect from 5th September 2012 provides that should they have a prejudicial interest in any matter under discussion, they should withdraw from the room and not seek to influence a decision about the matter.

3. Approval of minutes of meeting held on the 4th of July 2012
Minutes having been circulated were confirmed as an accurate record of the meeting held in July 2012 and were duly signed by the Chairman.

4. Democratic 15 minutes
No public were present.

5. Matters arising
A) Drainage, highway Issues and village maintenance - Progress Report
No outstanding matters.
Thanks were conveyed to Muriel Parr and Pam Taylor for their upkeep of the flower pots on Queens Street.
Traffic calming signage designed by children was discussed.

B) Neighbourhood Watch - Update regarding a volunteer
No volunteer as yet, though still actively sought.

C) Grass cutting
There has been much correspondence between the PC and Matthew Austin at SDC. The quality of cuts has improved slightly. The PC will approach a resident regarding mowing of The Leys and councillors will assist.

D) To adopt the new SDC Code of Conduct
It was proposed by Cllr Black, seconded by Cllr Gale and agreed unanimously that the PC adopt the new Code of Conduct from today onwards.
