Minutes

Meeting held on 14th January 2015 at
Halford Village Hall, Halford at 7.30 pm
Meeting closed 8.05 pm

1. Apologies

2. Declaration of Interests Councillors are asked to declare personal interests in any items on the agenda. Councillors are reminded that the code of conduct that took effect from September 2012 provides that should they have a prejudicial interest in any matter under discussion, they should withdraw from the room and not seek to influence a decision about the matter.
Cllr Bannister as a resident living adjacent to the proposed development in Roman Way.

3. Approval of minutes of meeting held on the 12th November 2014
Minutes having been circulated were confirmed as an accurate record of the meeting held in November 2014 and were duly signed by the Chairman.

4. Democratic 15 minutes
Concerns were expressed regarding the Roman Way planning applications:
It was thought the stables and fencing plans lack detail notably regarding where the fence will be sited and whether it will affect trees in the area.
Concern was expressed with regard to potential harm to trees and that further detail regarding the gate and gatepost should be included in the plans.

5. Matters arising and new matters
A) Village Maintenance
All current matters have been addressed.

B) Traffic Issues
The 30mph flashing sign is still awaited.
The drop kerb is likely to form part of a WCC funded scheme backed by Cllr Seccombe. Another resident has also supported the project.
A lack of street lighting in Halford was a cause for concern.
Bollards in Idlecote Road still need replacing.

8. Correspondence:
On May 7th all parish councils are up for election so the May PC meetings will take place on 13th May.
Cllr Izzi Seccombe is standing down but her husband Philip is the Conservative candidate for the district council election for the area covering Halford.
District council seats will reduce from 53 to 36 at the election with different boundaries.
