Minutes
Meeting held on 7th March 2018 at The Bridge Inn, Halford at 7.30 p.m.
Meeting closed 8.15p.m.

1. Apologies
County Councillor Izzi Seccombe and District Councillor Penny Anne ODonnell and Cllr Di Byard -Jones

2. Declaration of Interests Councillors are asked to declare personal interests in any items on the agenda. Councillors are reminded that the code of conduct that took effect from September 2012 provides that should they have a prejudicial interest in any matter under discussion, they should withdraw from the room and not seek to influence a decision about the matter.

3. Approval of minutes of meeting held on the 3rd of January 2018
Minutes having been circulated were confirmed as an accurate record of the meeting in January 2018 and were duly signed by the Chairman.

4. Democratic 15 minutes
It was noted a good report from the PC appeared in Village Voices.
The PC website is in need of updating in some areas.
SDC updated planning intentions were discussed at length, including materials to be used informed within planning applications.
PC members will look into the detail of the proposals.

5. Matters arising

A) Traffic calming through Halford
Cllr Abernethy will go over the data which has been provided.
The project remains ongoing.

B) Village maintenance issues
Growth between trees will be looked to be rectified, but as this is probably nesting season the matter may have to wait.

Parking on verges has caused damage which has been rectified in part.
As people continue to park on verges they will be requested not to via Village Voices.

C) Bus Shelter
Cllr Abernethy provided photographs of what the bus shelter would look like in situ, including views from either side. The shelter will now be ordered.


D) Speed Cameras
The project is ongoing

E) To confirm arrangements for the Parish Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council
2nd May 2018 at 6.30pm (At Halford Village Hall) To incorporate the Parish Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Council.

F) Lease of land adjacent to 14 The Leys Halford agreed for seven years between Halford Parish Council and Stratford District Council and contact agreed by members of Halford PC and signed by the Clerk and Chairman
