Minutes
Meeting held on 4th March 2021 by Zoom at 6.00 p.m.
Meeting closed 6.40p.m.

To note the resignation of Ian Sloan resulting in a vacancy on the parish council which has been notified to SDC. An advert will be displayed in Village Voices should the PC be able to fill the vacancy by co-option.

1. Apologies
None

2. Declaration of Interests Councillors are asked to declare personal interests in any items on the agenda. Councillors are reminded that the code of conduct that took effect from 2018 provides that should they have a prejudicial interest in any matter under discussion, they should withdraw from the room and not seek to influence a decision about the matter.

3. Approval of minutes of meeting held on the 7th of January 2021
Minutes having been circulated were confirmed as an accurate record of the meeting in January 2021 and were duly signed by the Chairman.

4. Democratic 15 minutes
Halford PCC requested a donation of 250.00 which will be granted by the PC.
The church wall is breaking up and ivy needs to be removed. The wall will need to be taken down and re-tiled. A lime tree may be removed from Queens Street affecting the wall. The church and the wall are grade 2* listed and permissions for works will need to be sought.
The PC will be approached to provide funds in due course which members agreed to in principle.

George Cowther attended the meeting as a prospective WCC candidate in the forthcoming election.

5. Matters arising

A) Village Maintenance - Progress Report
A schedule of works which Japonica Pride conduct was circulated within the PC. It was unclear if strimming is taking place on a fortnightly basis.
Overhanging branches encroaching on a footpath will be reported to them for action, as will a hedge by the bus stop.

B) Traffic Calming - Idlicote Road
Works at Longs Farm is adversely affecting verges. There was however some sympathy for the need for the farmers to be productive.

C) Neighbourhood Plan
No further action

D) To confirm arrangements for the Parish Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council
13th May 2021 at 6.00pm by Zoom

A Zoom subscription will be looked into for PC use.
